This Easter, Begawan Biji invites you to a dining experience that reimagines tradition with thoughtful elegance.
Inspired by the beloved egg hunt, Chef Andrew has crafted a menu where each dish holds a surprise, subtle nods to the spirit of Easter, hidden within flavours, textures, and ingredients that tell the story of the season.
Before the evening unfolds at the table, we’ll take you on a short farm tour through our permaculture garden where each guest will take part in a light-hearted Easter egg hunt. One egg per guest, each holding a surprise: from sweet treats, savoury bites to a golden egg worth IDR 500,000 to enjoy at Begawan Biji. A gentle moment of play, nestled in nature, before the feast begins.
From the first bite to the last, you’ll be taken on a journey through our farm-grown produce and heritage cooking, each plate a discovery, each course a moment of delight. As the evening unfolds, a live guitar solo will accompany the atmosphere, adding a warm rhythm to a celebration rooted in nature, craftsmanship, and quiet joy.

Immerse yourself in Bali’s traditional rice farming practices and learn the roots of the island’s agricultural heritage on a regenerative farm in Bayad Village, Payangan. Surrounded by the beauty of the Balinese countryside, discover the story of the subak, Bali’s irrigation channels that date to the 9th century; the origins of Mansur Heritage Rice, a heritage grain that’s one of many Balinese varieties of rice; as well as the process of planting, growing, and harvesting rice in Bali – a way of life that is an integral part of Balinese culture for centuries.

Discover the Bali Starling, a critically endangered species endemic to Bali. Visit the only breeding centre dedicated exclusively to raising these birds for release into the wild. Get up close to the Bali Starlings in a protected enclosure, where you can prepare their food and admire their beauty. Then, visit the release site to learn about their habituation, post-release care, and observe free-flying Bali Starlings thriving in their natural habitat.

Begin with a guided tour of the Begawan Giri Regenerative Farm, then savour a delightful 3-course set menu featuring the freshest, locally sourced ingredients from our own farm. Sip on freshly brewed coffee or choose from our selection of tea and garden-grown herbal infusions, along with a refreshing garden-to-glass mocktail. To take a piece of the experience home, we’ll gift you 250 grams of our signature Mansur Heritage rice.
